FAQ What does EasyRentals2U do ?

We are a part of the new revolution happening in the “Shared or Rental Economy” space. Our company offers branded (office and home) furniture to customers. This would help you to save on expenses incurred towards buying furniture. Renting also allows you to change your furniture every few months or years depending on your taste and lifestyle.

FAQ In how many cities are you present?

We have launched our operations in Chandigarh. We will soon be expanding to other cities like Gurgaon, Delhi, Noida, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai and Pune.

FAQ For how many months can I take furniture on rent?

We have flexible tenures. One can take an item on rent for 3, 6, 9 and 12 months. A customer has the flexibility of extending the lease period or even terminating the lease period on a pre-mature basis. You can refer to our website for finer details.

FAQ Do I have to a pay any deposit for the furniture?

Yes. Along with the monthly rental, a deposit amount is also collected from the customer. This amount is equivalent to 2 months of monthly rent. This amount is fully refundable once the lease tenure is over. Full refund is applicable subject to the condition that the furniture is returned in a good condition.

FAQ How can renting help me as a house or apartment owner?

Furnished apartments command a premium in terms of rent compared to an unfurnished or semi furnished apartment house. Instead of spending money on buying furniture to furnish your house, you can spend much lesser money by simply taking a complete package on rent (1 or 2 or 3 bedroom package). Your cash outflow would be much less compared to when you actually buy this furniture. So, with less money outflow, you can fully furnish your house and give it on rent and enjoy a higher rent.

FAQ Do I have the flexibility to buy back the furniture after I have used it for some time?

We currently do not have a buy back scheme. However we will soon be introducing a scheme wherein you have the option of buying back the furniture after having used the items for some time. You can write to us at info@easyrentals2u.com and we would be glad to share details with you.

FAQ Why should I take furniture on rent when I can easily buy it taking an EMI scheme?

Renting has multiple advantages over outright purchase. You can use it and return it as per your convenience and flexibility. There are no hassles. You can keep changing your furniture every few months depending upon the new styles and trends in the market. Frequent buying and reselling is cumbersome and leads to financial loss because of depreciation. Renting helps you experiment with new styles/designs and colours. In cases of relocation, you can relocate from station 1 to station 2 and we will take care of the furniture part (this proposition is yet to be launched). Paying monthly rental EMI (RMI) is more cost beneficial compared to a monthly EMI which you pay for buying it. It is a win-win situation which gives you the flexibility of using a furniture item as per your convenience, with no hassles and at a far lower cost than buying it.

FAQ How much do I have to pay for delivery and installation ?

If the monthly rental is equal to or more than Rs 1500, there are NIL delivery charges. However, there would be a charge of Rs 500 in case the monthly rental amount is less than Rs 1500. These charges would be taken along with the initial payment (deposit and rental).

FAQ In how many days will I get my ordered furniture ?

If the items that you have ordered are available in stock, we would normally ensure delivery within 3 to 5 days. However, if the items are not in stock, our delivery time would range from 15 to 20 days. These are also subject to the condition that complete KYC documents are submitted. For further details, you may please refer to our list of documents mentioned on the website (Documents section). Delivery time might vary from case to case depending on the situation.

FAQ Where can I get information about your company, its offerings and products ?

All relevant information about our company, contact details, products, prices and packages are available on our website www.easyrentals2u.com. However, if you feel there is some specific information which you require, you can contact us at info@easyrentals2u.com. Alternatively, you can chat with our representative (10 am to 6 pm) by clicking on the chat option and he would assist you with relevant information.

FAQ How do I pay my deposit and rent?

You have the option of online and offline payment facility. We would suggest that you refer to the video “payment process” for better clarity. This video can be assessed once you have added your product to the shopping cart.

Online payment : You would be directed to the online payment gateway once you have added products to the shopping cart. Every step is easy to understand and follow. The refundable deposit amount and entire tenure rental amount is blocked on your credit card. Your account would be debited on a monthly basis for the rental EMI. All interest charges levied because of EMI would be borne by us and not you.

Offline payment : We also have the provision of paper finance based on which our bank’s representative would complete the KYC documents and coordinate the payment. You can enjoy the flexibility of making monthly payments while we bear the Rental EMI interest charges.

FAQ How do I know how much to pay, when to pay and how to pay ?

Everything is explained very clearly in the payment process video which you can assess on the website once you go the page “Go to cart”.

When to pay : You just have to click once while placing the order and that’s it. We will take care of the rest. Unlike other rental companies, you do not have to make a payment every month. It is a one time effort from your side. Our bank, on our behalf, would deduct the said amount from your account on a monthly basis.

How much to pay : You just have to pay a deposit amount (equivalent to 2 months of rental amount) and the rental amount itself. Delivery charges of Rs 500 are to be paid only if the monthly rental amount is less than Rs 1500.

How to pay : You can pay a lump sum amount by clicking on the net-banking, debit card or credit card option on the site. Alternatively, you can opt for monthly EMI option and let your credit card account be debited on a monthly basis. All interest charges will be borne by us.

FAQ What are the terms for taking these items on rent ?

At the time of delivery, there is a simple delivery form which would need to be signed. All terms are properly explained in that form. You can also visit our website and refer to all our policies online.

FAQ What are the documents expected from me for signing a lease contract with your company ?

FAQ Do I have to pay any charges if there is a damage to the furniture items ?

We understand that any furniture item is prone to routine wear and tear. You will not be charged in case there is normal wear and tear and there is no functional damage to the furniture item. However in case the respective product is functionally unusable, charges would have to be paid. Amount will be decided after accessing the damage.

FAQ Do you have a relocation policy ? What if I move from one station to another ?

We are yet to introduce our relocation policy since we have presence only in Chandigarh Tri-city right now. If you wish to relocate the furniture items within the same city, we will do that for you free of cost subject to the condition that this request comes to us within the lease contract period and at least 7 days in advance of shifting.

FAQ What happens if I want an early termination or extension of my tenure?

Please refer to our cancellation/renewal/extension policy on the website.

If the customer decides to terminate the lease contract at any point of time, following would be the norms applicable:

Cancellation more than 1 day before delivery: no charges will be levied. Deposit amount and advance rental would be returned

Cancellation 1 day before delivery: 1 month deposit would be retained by the company

Cancellation during delivery: 1 month deposit would be retained by the company

Termination of the lease contract before the expiry period : As per the flexi–tenure policy, the slab would be changed as per the tenure actually used and revised rental calculated.

The contract can be terminated by informing the company 2 weeks in advance before the scheduled expiry date.

Cancellation amount due from the customer (in case of termination before expiry date) would be calculated as below:

((Monthly Rent amount basis revised tenure or Tenure New) – (Monthly Rent basis original tenure)) * No of months actually used

Eg, Monthly rentals for a product (Fiona Mod King Bed)

Tenure    Rent per month

18 months - 826

12 months - 909

9 months - 992

Against the original tenure of 18 months, customer decides to terminate the rental contract after using it for 14 months. Since there is no rental amount fixed for 14 months, we take the next tenure month ie 12 months.

The applicable “ new” tenure rates for early closure are as below :

Usage for 0 to 3 months: 3 months tenure would be considered

3 to 6 months : 3 months

6 to 9 months : 6 months

9 to 12 months : 9 months

12 to 18 months : 12 months

The cancellation amount (X) would be calculated as below :

X = (909 – 826) * 14 = Rs 1162

A customer has the flexibility of renewing his contract and enjoying the comfort of Godrej furniture till he wants. By opting to use the furniture for additional number of months, customer stands to enjoy the advantage of reduced monthly rentals. The new monthly rental is calculated after adjusting the rentals already paid. Monthly rentals reduce with increase in overall tenure.

1 week before the lease contract is going to expire, the customer will get an automated email from the company with details of expiry date.

The customer will have an option to extend the lease contract, terminate the lease contract or buy back the furniture. Buy back terms and condition would be discussed at the time of buy back.

The customer will have to speak to the call centre team to extend the lease contract.

If the customer does not wish to renew the contract, he can simply ignore the email and the company team will arrange to have the furniture items returned.

Basis the option selected, the lease contract will accordingly be extended or terminated.

If the lease contract is extended, the customer need not pay the same monthly rental amount. Since the overall duration of the lease contract is increasing, there would be a decrease in the per month rental amount.

The new monthly rental amount (for the extended period, ie. phase 2) would be as below:

((Total Rental amount for the complete tenure)-(Total Rental amount already paid in the phase 1)) / Number of Months in Phase 2

Eg, Monthly rentals for a product (Fiona Single Bed)

Tenure    Rent per month

18 months - 633

12 months - 696

After using the product for 12 months (phase 1), customer decides to extend the rental

FAQ What do I do once the lease tenure expires ?

1 week before the lease contract is going to expire, the customer will get an automated email from the company with details of expiry date.

The customer will have an option to extend the lease contract, terminate the lease contract or buy back the furniture. Buy back terms and condition would be discussed at the time of buy back.

FAQ When do I get my deposit back?

Once the lease tenure is over, our representatives will get in touch with you. They will do a thorough inspection to check for damages. Once everything is clear, you would get your deposit within 3 to 5 days of returning the furniture. However, there will not be any interest paid on this deposit amount.

FAQ Can I return the furniture if it is damaged ?

We will take complete responsibility but in case, for any unforeseen reasons, the furniture comes in a damaged state, you will not be charged for the transportation, etc.

FAQ What if I don't like the product at the time of delivery?

We, as a company take pride in offering branded furniture items. Godrej is known for its quality norms and we assure you that all products have been designed and manufactured keeping various aspects in mind. However, at the time of delivery, you do not like the product, we can replace it with some other product but the order will not be cancelled. If it is cancelled, 1 month’s deposit amount would be taken as transportation charges.
